Our computer product line is divided into two categories: low power systems, which are ideal for off-grid, thin-server, or energy conservation applications, and our high performance systems, which are ideal for server consolidation and virtualization.
The greenStation system is designed for use as a thin-server for our greenFarm™ virtualization server, web client for accessing the Internet, as well as home-office and small business applications. Disk storage is configurable from 320GB to 1TB (1,000GB), and an internal DVD read-write drive is available as an option (we suggest you use an external USB CD or DVD drive for energy saving reasons). Power consumption during idle and casual use is a low 30 watts, with a maximum power consumption for the greenStation below the processor "Total Device Power" (TDP) rating of our competitors lowest power products.
The greenServer system is designed for use as a small office / home office (SOHO) server, with performance enough for small office web serving, e-mail and other tasks. With two 1Gb/s Ethernet connections standard, the greenServer is ideal for firewall, router, DNS, DHCP, DMZ website and other small business server tasks. Built on the same low power platform as the greenStation, power consumption is kept to a minimum, without sacrificing performance or flexibility.
The greenStorage Network Attached Storage (NAS) server is designed to provide high performance, highly reliable storage in a lower power environment. The greenStorage NAS server provides from 320GB to 3TB storage capacity, configurable in a wide range of RAID levels, allowing you to maximumize performance or reliability, according to your needs. The greenStorage NAS server can be installed with Linux™ or Microsoft Windows®, avoiding the proprietary management interfaces common with other NAS solutions. In the largest configurations, the greenStorage NAS server consumes a low 40 watts, while providing 1Gb/s connectivity to network clients.
The greenFarm Virtualization Server is designed to provide server consolidation and virtualization in a networked environment. Combined with our greenStation systems, the greenFarm virtualization server can provide low power consumption and high performance for small businesses. Configurations are available to 8GB DDR2 RAM and 9TB disk storage, easily allowing up to 8 virtual servers per greenFarm virtualization server. The greenFarm Virtualization Server is available in a 2U rack mount enclosure, standard. Smaller configurations are also available in our standard desktop case.
The greenMonitor Renewable Energy Monitor is designed to provide advanced monitoring and management of your Outback Power Systems renewable energy system. Unlike products from our competitors, greenMonitor actively controls and manages your renewable energy system based on a wide variety of inputs, including historical load and production, battery maintenance objectives, and local utility tarrifs.
