We're pleased to announce the start of UPS runtime testing as part of our Naturally Available™ system design goal. Tests are being performed using an American Power Conversion Best-UPS ES 650 UPS. Test results show a runtime of approximately 70 minutes of active use for a greenStorage NAS server having 1TB of storage. The Best-UPS 650 was selected as a typical size UPS found in many desktop computer environments. The low power consumption of the greenStorage NAS server, and the other low power members of the greenHouse Computers family of systems, greatly extends UPS runtimes well beyond those of other less energy efficient systems.
