Upcoming Release Plans

Version 2.01 Plan Opened

We have begun planning future product direction.  In response to customer requests, we will be focusing more of our efforts at producing browser-based data viewers.  The existing Java applications will form the core "console" technology, but more effort will be placed on making the system viewable and manageable from a web browser.

Version 2.01 will also mark a shift in how we number releases and updates.  The first release will be numbered 2.01.00 and the first update to that will be 2.01.01, the second update will be 2.01.02, and so on.  This is in better keeping with industry standards, as well as our installer packaging software.

Version 1.00.9 Plan Committed

Version 1.00.9 will be a "wrap up" release with very little new functionality being added to the base product.  Most of the functional changes will involve adding support for devices such as relay controllers, environmental sensors and additional charge controllers.  This will allow us to focus on Version 2.01.00, which shifts our focus towards browser-based functionality.  You may view that roadmap here.

Version 1.00.8 Plan Completed

The feature roadmap for greenMonitor Version 1.00.8 has been completed. You may view it here. The focus of Version 1.00.8 was enhanced support for SMA inverters and the OEM Mate display controller. Further work was performed to support non-English language messages.  We added support for a new hardware platform, the greenMonitor Lite low power data logger.  Items which have not been completed will be analyzed based on the needs of our clients and either moved into Version 1.00.9 or cancelled.

End of Life Announcements

Version 1.00.5 End of Life Planned

Version 1.00.5 is scheduled to reach the end of its support life as of December 5th, 2010.  We will be publishing Update 4, an internal set of minor changes, prior to that date.  This update will not extend the end of life past the currently scheduled date unless additional customer-reported problems are found.

Version 1.00.4 End of Life

Version 1.00.4 (and all prior versions) has reached the end of its support life as of June 22nd, 2010.  Please upgrade to a more recent version.  In the event you require an older version for your environment, the next stable release is Version 1.00.5 Update 3.  Otherwise we recommend you upgrade to Version 1.00.7 Update 2.

ISO Image Downloads

Please select the desired software release and the installation ISO image will begin downloading. You will need to burn the image to a CD-ROM before you can install the software. ISO images are the most convenient way to install the greenMonitor software as all installers are present on the installation CD.

Note: Based on customer feedback, we have stopped producing new ISO images. If you have a requirement for an ISO image for your environment, please contact customer support and we will have an ISO image produced. You may wish to consider using a flash memory drive as the installation files are much smaller than a full ISO image.

Please be very careful setting up user accounts as you may accidentally lock yourself out of gmServer if you assign user accounts and don't have your personal passwords set up yet.  Additionally, the builtin security firewall has been enhanced and repeated failed login attempts will completely "lock out" the originating IP address.  For Individual Edition and higher (user accounts are not a part of Basic Edition), you will need to manually create a "guest" user ID with gmAccounts on the gmServer host name menu.  The password must be empty and the commands should be "ALL".  Make sure you check the checkbox to enable the account, then save the changes and exit.
